HIGH-THROUGHPUT SYSTEMS
Our history as a genomics company means that we know how to work very quickly and accurately with vast amounts of information.
We are able to screen tens of thousands of different plant lines simultaneously under a variety of growing conditions. The screens are designed to efficiently find plant lines that have higher yields, enhanced nitrogen utilization, drought tolerance, extreme temperature tolerance and disease resistance, among other traits.
Our collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences provides us with a cost-effective, high-throughput field-testing system to advance our trait pipeline. Genes and traits selected through these high-speed, high capacity lab, greenhouse and field tests are advanced and subjected to further characterization, optimization and testing in energy crop species.
Rapid Product Development
By applying high-throughput techniques to uncover gene function, we are able to rapidly move traits from model plants, like Arabidopsis and rice, to commercial products.
